An existing maintenance road travels along the northern face of the Santa Teresa Foothills. The canal maintenance road is currently not open to the public.
The canal maintenance road was developed to manage an open channel to convey water between Coyote Creek and Los Alamitos Creek. The land along the foothills is beautiful but not currently open as lands are in public or private hands, and no formal development has occurred.
