Viva CalleSJ (10AM – 3PM) is a free open streets program that temporarily changes miles of San Jose streets to bring communities together to walk, bike, skate, play, and explore the city. It is not a race so there is no formal start or end point but includes a 7.3 mile stretch of streets where people could join in at any point along the “Downtown and Eastbound: El Corazon” on Jackson, 3rd, Santa Clara, Alum Rock and White Rd.
Bring the entire family and friends to run, walk, bike, skate, or just simply play in the streets at the third Viva CalleSJ event. The event provides the opportunity for the communities to come together to explore the city like never before. Several parts of downtown roads will be closed and filled with family friendly activities and performances for the entire family.
