    May 5 - November 10 @ San Pedro Street between Santa Clara and St. John

    Every Friday (starting on May 5), the San Pedro Square will transform into a marketplace full of fresh California-grown fruits and vegetables. People of all ages are welcomed to attend.

    Dancers of all abilities are invited to enjoy a complete evening downtown of socializing, music and dancing to a variety of music genres. The events begin each week as food trucks, beer garden and dance floor open at 5:30 p.m. Lessons from professional instructors teaching dance steps for that night’s theme are at 6 p.m. and live music gets underway at 7 p.m. for open dancing.

    September 21, 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM @ Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park

    Every Thursday evening starting on August 24 through October 12, 2017 walk over after work to Plaza de Cesar Chavez for an evening of socializing, music and dancing. With live bands and professional dance instructor to teach the fine points of the evening's dance style, you can tune your skills, learn something new, or just show off. A beer garden and food trucks make the evening complete. What should we do after work? CityDance San José is free and open to the public!

    September 22, 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM @ The South First Area (SoFA) District

    The art walk is self-guided evening tour through galleries, museums, and independent creative businesses featuring exhibitions and special performances. The art walk takes place on the First Friday of the month, year around, except for January & July due to the major holidays. During the summer months, the folks behind the art walk also produce special outdoor events that take place in conjunction with the art walk: SubZERO Festival (June) and Street Mrkts (August & September). These events are an effort to give local artists, bands & indie creative retailers the opportunity to exhibit & sell their work directly to the public.

    Instructor: Ryan Marlinghaus Format: Outdoor Lecture and Mini Hands-on Workshop Learn about how to install and manage permeable hardscapes. Permeable landscapes reduce the transport of polluted urban and rain water runoff to storm drains and creeks, allowing infiltration and groundwater replenishment. Find out what options will work best for you with this combined outdoor lecture and hands-on workshop. Dress for the elements! Wear closed-toed shoes, a hat, and bring water. Tools and light refreshments will be provided.

Come learn rose care and then practice on the 3,500 rose bushes in the park! +++This is a city-wide volunteer event at one of San Jose's most iconic spots! Join other rose lovers and dedicated residents who care and act! ***Tools provided. ***Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get a bit dirty.
